Grounds For Play designs and constructs play environments throughout the USA and the world with a deep commitment to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission Handbook for Public Playground Safety. We also have a deep commitment to providing play opportunities based on our research of childrens needs. Both the President and Sr. Vice President of Grounds For Play hold doctorates in early childhood education. More importantly, both have worked in Head Start classrooms as well as in other childcare environments. It is this combination of experience and research that fuels our passion to create safe and stimulating play environments. Every site plan we provide is reviewed by one of these two experts. Grounds For Play is the only playground manufacturer providing full site planning as part of its basic sales approach. Thus, our site planning, with our Ph.D. review, is a free service to our customers. We are also unique in providing a turnkey approach to the development of your play environment, and this ensures that all parts of the complex environment work together for children and caregivers. Grounds For Plays designs are reviewed for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAAG). Because we provide a full-site analysis and solution approach, we are uniquely capable to assist programs serving special needs children. Finally, Grounds for Play environments will allow full NAEYC and APPLE accreditations, to the extent that the playground facility contributes to accreditation. GFPs full site designs include loose parts and the storage to accommodate them. Our designs often include nature areas, art and curriculum supports, active play equipment and a variety of resilient surfaces to ensure safety, tricycle tracks and dramatic play zones, and most of all, they will include items that respond to the needs you share with us as being important to you. Childrens safety and education have always played a part in our design process. We are proud of our safety record and believe it is unique in the industry: In its twenty-six years, Grounds For Play has never been sued for injury to a child. We believe our conscientious and comprehensive study of safety issues, in addition to our expertise in early childhood education, has resulted in this record.
