Powdered Chilli Pepper

Pepper are fruits from the capsicum annum plant which are used as a spice or ingredient in cooking. They are known for their intense heat and pregnancy.

Our Cayenne pepper is grounded into a five powder used to add heat and flavour to dishes.

Physical Properties

Ø Colour: Reddish brown to orange and red

Ø Texture: Fine powder

Ø Moisture:  Content less than 10%

Ø Particle size: Typically around 100-200 mesh

·                    Capsaicin Content: 0.2-1.5% (depending on qualify and source)

·                    Scoville Heat Units (SHU): 30,000-50,000

·                    PH Level: Acidic (Arround 5.5,-6.5)

Microbiological Properties

·                    Total Plate Cout: Less than 10,000 CFU/g

·                    Yeast and Mold: less than 100 CFU/g

·                    Salmonella: Negative

·                    E coli: Negative
